What's New at Shawmut Equipment

Bob Morang joins nine other Shawmut technicians who have passed the challenging GMK certification test. The certification course, held at Grove’s facility in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania, consists of numerous classes dedicated to learning the technology and operation of the GMK product line.
Manitowoc recently released a customer-focused course catalog designed to help customers develop the product knowledge needed to be as productive as possible while utilizing their equipment. The onsite and online training courses are taught by professional and experienced instructors and will help customers understand, troubleshoot and safely operate their equipment.
Two of Shawmut’s top technicians, Kevin LaPan and Tim Scott, recently completed all Grove courses and passed the two-day Grove Certification test.

Hirschmann MCS, formerly a business unit of Belden, Inc., is now a part of the WIKA Group and is doing business under the name WIKA Mobile Control.  WIKA Mobile Control will continue to provide crane operator aids, control solutions, and sensors for lifting applications that were previously marketed under the Hirschmann MCS, PAT and Kruger brands.

Shawmut Equipment will be holding a Certified Rigger & Signalperson Class on September 7, 2018 at Shawmut's South Easton, MA facility.
Matt Whitcomb recently passed the GMK All Terrain Crane Service Certification Test at the Grove Shady Grove, PA facility. The certification test lasts two days, including both written and practical hands-on testing using cranes and simulators at the manufacturing facility.
•    The new 40 US ton TMS500-2 was designed specifically for Grove customers who wanted a lightweight, versatile truck crane with taxi capabilities.
